• August 1974: Reverend John McKoy Jr. answered the call to the ministry and became the Pastor of Spring Lake Memorial Missionary Baptist Church
• December 1974: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and our First Service was held in The Spring Lake Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, NEW Sanctuary
• 1987: Construction and Dedication or our NEW Fellowship Hall
• 1989: We Burned Our Fellowship Hall Mortgage
• January 1991: Our Church became Mortgage Free
• 1993: New Adjacent Church Property was acquired and landscaped
• 1995: Purchased our First Church Van
• July 2001: Ground Breaking Services for Our Senior Citizens Complex
• August 2002: Implemented a Church Bond Program for the construction of our Senior Citizens Complex
• November 19, 2003: Dedication and Grand Opening of our Senior Citizens Complex THE JOHN MEMORIAL APARTMENTS, Located on Chapel Hill Road, in Spring Lake, North Carolina

  A Senior Community, John Memorial Apartments are located in a quiet residential area of the Spring Lake community.  The one-bedroom apartments are available to any person 50 years or older who lives independently regardless of race, creed or color.  Each one-bedroom apartment is 540 square feet, includes living room, bedroom, full bathroom and kitchenette with kitchen stove and refrigerator.  Each apartment provides a safe independent living environment with a strong sense of community while ensuring total privacy.  The apartments are fully carpeted, central heat and air and telephone/cable ready.  Trash pick-up is provided, a coin operated laundry is on the premises and secure parking provided for licensed vehicles.  A reading room and craft room are available to all residents and their guests.  We are located within 0.9 miles from the Super Wal mart and anticipate being added to the newly structured FAST bus route soon.  Utilities are not included.  We are registered with the Fayetteville Metropolitan Housing Authority and Section 8 Housing participants are also welcomed.  Sorry, NO Pets.

  ADDITIONAL AMENITIES:  Library and Television Room  Multipurpose Room with kitchen Direct mail delivery.  We encourage anyone who would be served by residence in this safe community environment to visit our facility at anytime.  Our Lease Options are for 12 months.  Please call for more information on rental rates and security deposit requirements.  There are vacancies available.
